EMERGENCY DEPRESSURIZATION OF THE UNDERGROUND GAS STORAGE (UGS) FACILITY TECHNOLOGY AT UGS DOLNÍ DUNAJOVICE IN THE DISTRIBUTED CENTER 1

The goal of the project was to ensure the safe separation of above-ground process parts of UGS in the Distributed Center 1 from the sources of gas in case of emergency (accident, fire, gas leakage, loss of equipment integrity, etc.), and then safely emergency depressurize all the high pressure equipment.

FLARE RECONTRUCTION

The aim of this project was a off gas combustion quality (ecology) improvement, reliability enhancement and prolongation of the flare system operation cycles in SYNTHOS Kralupy a.s.

EMERGENCY DEPRESSURIZATION OF THE UNDERGROUND GAS STORAGE (UGS) FACILITY TECHNOLOGY AT UGS DOLNÍ DUNAJOVICE IN THE CENTRAL AREA AND THE DISTRIBUTED CENTER 3

The goal of the project was to ensure the safe separation of above-ground process parts of UGS Dolni Dunajovice in the Central Area and the Distributed Center 3 from the sources of gas in case of emergency (accident, fire, gas leakage, loss of equipment integrity, etc.), and then safely emergency depressurize all the high pressure equipment.

FLARE SYSTEM MODIFICATION

The aim of the project was to modify the flare system and the equipment of the flare unit according to the current standards (DEP, API) and to connect to flare header pressure safety valves from AVD unit and partly from NRL, which had been released to the atmosphere previously.

NEW FLARE SYSTEM

Installation of new pressure safety valves, construction of new unit headers, reconstruction of the off-gas piping in the inlet and the outlet from pressure safety valves, and connecting of the new flare gas system to the flare in the refinery in Kralupy nad Vltavou.

FLARE SYSTEM FOR PE/PP PLANTS

A new flare system for new production units PE and PP and for other existing units was designed within the project.

“POX” UNIT RECONSTRUCTION – REPLACEMENT OF BURNERS

The main objective of the reconstruction of the “POX” unit of "Gasification of heavy fuel oil".

FLARE LIQUID SEAL

To connect off-gas from the new production plant, Styrene Plant, a liquid seal was installed in the inlet line to the existing flare stack as a flame arrestor feature and to catch condensate from the offgas.

FLARE RECONSTRUCTION – STYRENE PLANT

To treat off-gas from the new production plant Styrene existing flare was reconstructed in order to achieve a total capacity to 118 t/h of flare gas and a smokeless capacity 34 t/h and to decrease the consumption of utilities simultaneously.

FLARE RECONSTRUCTION – ETHYLENE PLANT

Reconstruction of the flare system of ethylene unit and storages with a capacity of 150 t/h of flare for smokeless combustion.
