The project addressed an expiring operational cycle of vibration sensors and axial shift sensors including an obsolete switchboard.
Within the scope of the project, the sensors were replaced and connected to a new switchboard. The installed system of the sensors and the switchboard represents one of the safety features of large rotating equipment, when the equipment is switched off in case of increasing vibrations or a change in the axial shift. This protects the equipment from damage.
A total of 52 pieces of sensors on seven rotating equipment were changed. The project was executed in cooperation with SKF company during a shutdown of the refinery.
