The project objective is to provide know how detail design and main equipment delivery of Coke Removal Unit (CRU) for removing of coke from quenchwater in ethylene plant (EP) in the project J3 in Jamnagar, Rajasthan, India. CRU is a part of a newly built petrochemical plant in the Western part of India located on the Indian Ocean coast.

The principle of the process is the continuous removal of solid particles produced in EP cracking furnaces by means of hydrocyclones with subsequent filtration and sedimentation to obtain a dry solid phase. The process is designed and owned by Intecha.

Installation of the coke removal unit increases EP efficiency and significantly saves operational costs, increases operational life of the equipment and it also reduces contamination of the environment. Incorporation of this process enables ethylene units to prolong operational cycles between shutdowns.

A CRU installation was executed by the customer according to the Intecha Detail Design Project. A construction supervision, commissioning and guarantee tests were executed by Intecha.
