The objective of the contract featured construction of a new unloading station for benzene to use as feedstock from external sources and to increase the existing capacity of Ethylbenzene II production plant in the area of UNIPETROL RPA, s.r.o., steam cracker.

New railway No. 240 was constructed within the scope of the project. The unloading station was equipped by an emergency sump, four bottom unloading arms with vapor balancing system, folding stairs to access domes of rail tank cars. The pump station of the unloading station was equipped by sealless pump, which provided unloading of benzene to the existing storage tanks. Shunting of rail tank cars was executed by a rope shunting device. A new feeding pump to Ethylbenzene II and a new off-spec pump, were installed as the parts of this project.

Construction was executed during full operation of the ethylene unit in the period of 12 months. Intecha prepared the complete set of detailed design documentation, providing all the engineering activities and providing of final inspection of the construction for a civil and railway parts.
