COKE REMOVAL FROM QUENCH OIL SYSTEM IN ETHYLENE PLANTS

Design and procurement of a filtration unit for the quench oil loop. The filtration unit removes solid coke particles without any necessity for shut down of the ethylene plant (EP). This system of filtration is the unique process, especially with respect to discharge of dry coke from the filters, with no negative impact to the environment and to health and safety. The process is designed and owned by Intecha.

QUENCH OIL COKE REMOVAL IMPROVEMENT

The existing unit did not reach the required efficiency, and it had a very negative impact on HSE. Consequently, the unit was reconstructed according to a study and a basic design prepared by Intecha. The objective was to install process which meets BAT requirements.

CHARGE GAS SYSTEM PRESSURE DROP DECREASING

The goal of this project was decreasing of a pyrolysis gas pressure drop in the line of the primary fractionator, the water wash column and the alkali wash column. Consequently, it was necessary to replace the existing trays for new random packing, respectively for the alkali wash column to replace even the existing trays in the upper part for new trays with a lower pressure drop and to ensure the existing flow rate and composition of pyrolysis gas.

BENZENE UNLOADING FROM RAIL TANK CARS

The objective of the contract featured construction of a new unloading station for benzene to use as feedstock from external sources and to increase the existing capacity of Ethylbenzene II production plant in the area of UNIPETROL RPA, s.r.o., steam cracker.

ETHYLENE PLANT – REPLACEMENT OF METHANE COMPRESSOR TRAIN

The objective of the project was replacement of methane compressor train at the ethylene unit in UNIPETROL RPA, s.r.o.

COKE REMOVAL FROM QUENCH OIL SYSTEM IN ETHYLENE PLANTS

Design and procurement of equipment of two unit modifications for coke separation from the quench oil loop of the ethylene plants. The special process filters have supplemented originally installed cyclones, which replaced the existing settling tank, which operation had a negative impact on the environment and health and safety at work.

MODIFICATION OF LIQUID RUBBER PRODUCTION PLANT

The process of liquid rubber production was developed in the Research Institute of Synthetic Rubber (VÚSK) Kralupy nad Vltavou. Production started in the year of 1996 with a capacity of 2000 t/year of LBH 3000 polymer.

DESTABILIZATION OF BUTADIENE

The aim of the project was to construct a unit for destabilization of butadiene, to increase the storage capacity of waste hydroxide and to modify the existing process equipment for blending of required concentrations of hydroxide. Removal of the stabilizer of butadiene is carried out by washing in a NaOH solution.

UNLOADING OF RAIL TANK CARS

The main objective of the project was to increase safety in the Storage of liquified gases (SKP) during loading and unloading of rail tank cars by liquified hydrocarbon gases.
