The goal of the project was to ensure the safe separation of above-ground process parts of UGS in the Distributed Center 1 from the sources of gas in case of emergency (accident, fire, gas leakage, loss of equipment integrity, etc.), and then safely emergency depressurize all the high pressure equipment.

Intecha prepared the complete project documentation from Feasibility Study and Safety Study by HAZOP method up to Detailed Design.

For the realization of the project was used the model of emergency gas depressurization based on the physical laws of supercritical flow which has been tested and verified by the data from the complex tests from previously implemented projects. Also models for determination of noise and heat radiation have been used mainly based on standards EN ISO 23251, API 521 and EN 1473.

Installation of emergency depressurization leads to a significant increase in safety of Underground Gas Storage in Dolni Dunajovice and its surroundings.
